Yee-haw, yippee-yi-yeah......or whatever they say down there in Dallas.
As the song goes, ......oh, what a time....... This past weekend in Dallas was wonderful. The concert was spectacular. I was a little nervous that Barry might treat this make-up date as just that........sort of an afterthought. Boy, oh boy, was I wrong!! (I'm sorry for thinking that way, Barry!!). He did not let us down one bit. He was very much into the show--every song, movement, and note. His emotion was at an all-time high, and he was very genuine with his appreciation to the fans in Dallas who waited for him to come, and thanked those of us who had attended multiple concerts on the tour.
I was sitting in the lucky section apparently, because I got Somewhere Down The Road right in front of me; as he was singing River (which I'm so glad I got to hear Live), I got a great view of the pose he took with one knee bent and his hand in his pocket--absolutely gorgeous; and as if that were not enough........the frontal BAM!!!!!!!! Oh yeah, babee!!!!!!!!
For me, I was nervous that this was going to be a very sad and depressing event. But I'm pleased to say that I came away from the show with a wonderful feeling of happiness, peace, and contentment. Yes, he may gone from our public eye for a while, but I know he'll be back.
I felt happy for Him because I feel He had a really good tour (outside of the bronchitis). It was done at a nice pace, didn't seem too taxing on Him, and He looked very content last Saturday.
He has to know by now how I feel about my Platinum Experience, but just in case he doesn't, here's the condensed version-----Thank you, Barry, for giving me a memory that I will carry in a special place in my heart for the rest of my life.
We also had lots of fun spending Sunday at Southfork Ranch from the TV show, Dallas (da da, da da, da da-da-da-da.....okay I'll stop). We did learn one important thing there---whenever you take a picture from the other side of the road, you must always look left and right-----right Barb?? ) Oh, if we only had a video camera for that moment!!!!
I hope all of you have enjoyed all that Barry has given us this year, and I don't even want to think about what he has in store for us in 2005!!! (BTW--does anyone know if there is a limit as to the number of Master Cards/VISAs a person can have going at one time?? LOL!!)
Hope everyone has a great holiday!!!!
Stay safe and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
