Hi everyone! I just got home and I must say, Barry was as always AMAZING! He seems to be doing so well after his surgery! His new songs are great and he sounds AND LOOKS as fabulous as ever! I was however in for the rudest awakening of my Barry viewings! My husband and I drove out there (me being 7 weeks pregnant with twins but look like I could be 30 weeks!). We left MA at 2am and arrived at 630 am! Just in time to get in!! phew!!
In order to prevent me and babies from being squished by the 50 or so fans, the crew allowed my husband and I to move up to 3rd row back Fromt 4th or 5th row-still not a great view but understandable since my late arrival. Anyhow, there was a lot of caos and the filming crew was making us move back and forth to the side etc. etc. shuffling everyone around and no one ended up where they started. (No fault to anyone, just had to be done to get the filming accomplished.)
Out of the front row, a "Fanilow" started yelling and swearing at the lady behind her saying she arrived first and called the woman a "b*tch" as well as other profanities and was yelling at her accusing her of trying to take her front row spot. Since I was behind the woman getting yelled at, I was horrified to say the least! A body guard had to actually come and pull the irrate woman out, talk her down and put her back to her spot!
After the show, my husband and I were waiting to see if we could take a picture with Chris Gray and Stephen Baxter (who were sooo kind and took a picture with me and were nice as can be!!) and the fan who was with the yelling woman, came over and literally tried to push me out of the way to get by to go yell at the directors for the "terrible seating arrangement"! As I felt the first push and listened to her yell, all I could say to her was "maam, we are all fans who came to see Barry to enjoy ourselves, NOT to get shoved, yelled at and listen to foul language!" She in turn pushed passed me and yelled else where.
Sorry to vent, I am just wondering if anyone has ever had a similar experience or was this a one time thing? I did over hear the yelling woman say she has attended over 300 Barry appearances/concerts. I have only attended about 10 myself at 31 years of age and have enjoyed every time meeting my "neighbors" and siging along with them! I truely wonder if this is why poor Barry doesn't meet and great his audience! I was appauled by the fans behavior myself! I can't image how he deals with that!
So, after this long rant, I guess my point is, we are All Fanilows and should respect one another! Barry put it best today by singing, "What the World Needs Now Is Love Sweet Love!! Instead of pushing your fellow fanilows and yelling at them, join together and enjoy the show!!
Thanks for listening to my rant.. I knew you all would understand!
Manilove, Kelly

Hi Kelly,
The past couple of years I have gone to GMA whenever Barry was on. I was planning on going this time but decided not to so I could save some money to see him when he goes to NYC in January. Usually when I go to GMA I go the night before, stay at a hotel, get up at 2 a.m. to go and wait in line for GMA. And believe me, there are others waiting before I even get there. We do freeze our toochies but it's alot of fun and so worth it.
I did see GMA and I was wishing I was there. He looked so happy and gorgeous.
That's too bad about the women who got so upset. I've never seen that happen whenever I've seen Barry appearing anywhere. I would say that most of his fans are thoughtful and well behaved. There's always a bad apple that has to ruin it for everyone else.
But I am glad that you enjoyed seeing Barry and your husband must be terrific to drive all that way so early in the morning for you to see Barry.

Hi Elaine, Sorry you missed it. It was a great show! I definately agree with you waiting for the NY show!! I would have loved to go to it, but will be enormously pregnant by then I have always had great "Fanilow neighbors" at shows and wasnt sure why this happened. Who knows, but l probably like you said, one bad apple. No matter what, Barry was a great show that day and I am so glad I went! Any word on Barry reaching #1 yet??? Hope everyone is well! Kelly

Hi Kelly,
I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to you at GMA. I am one of Elaine's traveling companions to GMA, but I couldn't make this trip. Could you believe that my boss actually wanted me at work?? Man......whose got their priorities messed up, huh?? LOL!!
I love to see Barry on GMA. I get the impression that he genuinely loves the show and the staff. He always seems very relaxed and genuinely enjoying himself. I know the last time we went (this past January), we were the 7, 8, & 9 people in line. Then when they started to bring people in, they went to the very end of the line and let those people in before us. Needless to say, that didn't make me very happy, but I would never dream of causing a scene like you experienced. I did, however, squirm my way as close to the front as I could (I'm short, so sometimes that works to my advantage). I did get to stand right behind Ron, Barry's music director. Not a great view, but as you say, just being there to see him "live" is wonderful!!!
And yes, your husband deserves a medal. All the best with your pregnancy and your bundles of joy!!! Keep us posted!!!

Hi Kelly,
Sorry to hear about your GMA experience. Since I live in Illinois, I haven't been to a taping, but I have been to 20 some concerts and I have never seen that kind of behavior. Too bad some people have to spoil things for the rest of us.
Twins you say?! I have the names for you. 2 boys...Barry and Allen. 2 girls...Mandy and Lola. Boy and girl...what else? Barry and Mandy. ;D LOL.
Let us know what names you decide on.
Take care of yourself and those future Barry fans.
Adele
P.S. I dislike the word 'Fanilows'.
